Nina Simone was born in 1933 in North Carolina.

She studied classical music at the Juilliard School in New York City, however later turn her interest to jazz and blues, releasing her first album, “Little Girl Blue” in 1958.

A staunch Civil Rights activist, she was known for tunes like “Mississippi Goddam”, “Young Gifted and Black” and “Four Women”, among many others.

The emotion and power of Nina Simone’s work has left a lasting impression on the world of music and activism.

Always trim wick to 5mm before lighting. Keep candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings. Only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface.  Do not burn the candle for any more than fours hours at a time.

If you have any concerns about your candle when lit, extinguish immediately and do not reignite.
